Following-up on the panel dicussion on the Legacy of the American Civil War, at the Library of Virginia

Finally getting around to posting about it, but I had a great time at the panel held at the Library of Virginia. For those who weren’t able to make it, check out the video below. There were some great folks on the panel, who shared their perspectives, and gave me time to think more about the many dimensions of the Civil War… especially in the midst of the Sesquicentennial. Thanks again to Kevin Levin, for directing the folks responsible for the panel, to me. Many thanks also to the Library of Virginia, for the invitation and making arrangements for an overnight stay. The day after the panel, I was able to enjoy another special treat… a visit to the site of the Virginia Convention of 1861, and an amazing chance for a personal tour by Mark Greenough. More to follow on that in another post.

For those who wish to watch the 1.5 hour program, if you’d like for me to expand on anything that I mention, please feel free to ask.
