As a Southerner and native of the Shenandoah Valley, I offer reflections on the Civil War-era South… and sometimes a little more. But… expect the unexpected
I’m curious to know what sources you found for the biographies of the VA 33rd. I also notice your blog includes some marginalia with Michael Shuler’s gravestone photograph with your name on it… that strange indeed.
Rex, Which Bio, specifically? I’ve got multiple resources for the 33rd. As for the image of Shuler with my name, I’m using Uncle Shuler’s image as my Facebook profile for these days of Manassas remembrance. Of all my people at the battle, he’s the only one for whom I have an image.
