Colonial Williamsburg is getting into the Civil War Sesqui…

Browsing Colonial Williamsburg’s site (as I’ve mentioned before, I have a semi-dormant passion for the history of Colonial Virginia, and New England…hence the reason for me digging around CW’s site), I came across a few items of interest that reflect that they are getting into the Sesqui as well. First, we have this EFT (Electronic Field Trip) that is coming out in February, 2012. Take a look… after clicking on the image below, you’ll open another page; there, look under “Video Categories” for “Teacher’s”, and you’ll find a one-minute trailer titled, “When Freedom Came” (regretfully, I couldn’t embed the video).

There are also a few other items of interest, such as a Civil War-focused walking tour of Williamsburg, as well as programs at nearby Jamestown, and also a new Christmas feature, (An Un-Civil Christmas: Holiday Music of the Civil War) this year. Cool to see Colonial Williamsburg getting into yet another aspect of its history. Enjoy…
