Excellent posts for consideration over at Bull Runnings

Talk about adding more interesting stuff to the study… looks like, with the help of a reader, Harry has some interesting posts (here, here, and here) about Northerners in Wheat’s La. Bttn. The matter of the men being impressed for service is interesting. Though August Johnson makes the claim, was he doing this to cover his own behind or was it actually true. Service records of others seem to make the claim questionable, but it would still be an interesting subject to examine further.
