Call it an obsession with maps…
I found this image of the county-by-county popular vote for the 1860 presidential election. Regretfully, I haven’t located a larger and higher quality image. Clearly a more united North than a “Solid South.”
Also, I’ve been looking into some other voting stats for the individual states (1850s & 1860s) as well as the referendum numbers on secession. Speaking of referendum, it’s quite interesting that there may have been only three Southern states to even put the secession decision in the hands of the citizens (Texas, Tennessee, and Virginia). There also appears to have been something interesting about Georgia and a referendum that may have been tossed-out because the results were not favorable for secession.

Hello!
I’m looking for county by county vote totals in Alabama in the 1860 election. W. S. Thompson gives the vote in Winston County as Breckenridge 203, Douglas 147, and Bell 40. Have you found any totals for Marion County?
Best and rave on!

Wish I had that info. I’m equally as interested in the voting numbers for Marion County.

I am looking for the Howard County, Maryland Election of 1860 results. I believe Lincoln only recieved one vote. Could you verify this for me.
Thank you,

Sorry, but I don’t do research or verification of stats for other folks. I present some of the things I find in the course of my research, here.
